 LASHES!!

Celebrity eyes
One of the most popular trends has been eyelash extensions and adding fake eyelashes to enhance eyes.  I am sure everyone can remember seeing their Grandmother or someone else who had crazy eyelashes that were always half unglued!  Fake eyelashes don’t have the old stigma they used to.

Fake eyelashes are the new accessory that is a must have if you want to stand out in a crowd. There is no better way to enhance the eyes than to start using fake eyelashes.  Every celebrity, anyone in the news that is somebody, and every fashion diva apply eyelashes.

There are many types of eyelashes to choose from.  You can have eyelash extensions professionally applied at a salon.  This typically costs $150-$300 for the initial application and monthly fills that run $75-$150.  It is definitely an investment, however they look amazing and you don’t have to apply them every day.

For those of you who want to have the same fabulous look at a lot cheaper price, there are easy options for you as well.  There are hundreds of options and varieties of eyelashes to choose from.  Some of the top brands that I like are:

Urban decay
MAC
Ardell
Red Cherry

I always like the lashes that come with an invisible band.

You will need to also get an eyelash adhesive.  My favorite is Duo Eyelash Adhesive.  I get it in the dark color.

How to apply eyelashes!

Cutting the eyelash strips to size is one of the most important keys to applying false lashes easily.  Lay the lash strip along your own lashes, lining the inner corner up to wear you'd like it to end. Then count how many extra sections of lashes on the strip extend out beyond the outer corner of your own lashes. Cut off that many sections from the outside end of the strip.
Squeeze a thin, even line of glue along the band.  Gently blow on the glue for a few seconds so that it starts to dry.  Lay the strip down just on top of your natural lashes (You can apply lashes with tweezers; I find it easier to apply with my fingers).  Tap the band down into place and let dry. It does take a bit of practice so don't give up. Once the glue dries apply your mascara using the wand to blend your own lashes into the false ones so that it does not appear to be two rows from the side view. Use a dark eyeliner or dark shadow along the base of the eyelashes to disguise the band!  Now get out there and show off your eyes!
